What can you tell me about Varbros LLC?
Varbros was established by the Vargo family in 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio. TrimLine Die was purchased in 1991 and relocated to LaGrange, Ohio in 1997. We currently employ over 150 people. We specialize in high volume, close tolerance stampings and assemblies across many different industries. Please visit our About page to learn more.
What materials do you use in manufacturing?
We can accommodate materials that include carbon steels, high strength steels, pre-coated steels, aluminum, and tin plate.
What is the maximum thickness of material you can stamp?
We stamp materials in thicknesses that range from .015” to .315”. However, we can look at each unique situation.
How large a part can you handle?
We have the capacity to handle coil widths up to 50”. Our wide range of presses can accommodate parts very small in size to extremely large.
Is there a minimum quantity for your production runs?
We are generally considered a high volume stamper. Each program is different and we will consider lower volumes. Varbros is not in the short run business; all of our work is custom and is run on permanent, dedicated tooling.
Do you have a catalog of standard products?
No, everything we produce is custom and to our customers specifications.
What is your standard lead time?
This depends on the size and complexity of the tool. You can use 12 weeks as a starting point. This includes, APQP, design, build, tryout and PPAP. Add another 2-4 weeks to get production ready. Each quotation will specify lead times.
Does Varbros/TrimLine build their own tools?
Yes, we have the ability to build tools at both locations. Typically we build tools for our own production however, at TrimLine, we do build dies and tooling components for various outside customers depending on internal workload.
In what formats can you receive parts specs and prints?
We are able to read most popular CAD formats including IGES, DXF, DWG, STEP. Give us a call for more details.
Do you have a preventive maintenance program?
Both Varbros and TrimLine are registered to ISO 9001:2008 and have preventative maintenance standards in place. Also, new tooling is guaranteed for the life of the part when production parts are produced by Varbros or TrimLine.
How many shifts do you run?
We currently run 2 shifts at both locations. We can be flexible to your specific needs.
What is your employee turnover rate?
Our turnover rate is extremely low with the average tenure being ranging between 15 and 20 years.
